Sie werden als Verdickungsmittel (oder F\u00fcllstoffe) bezeichnet. Dabei handelt es sich grunds\u00e4tzlich um inerte Materialien (Pulver oder K\u00f6rner) unterschiedlicher Herkunft, die den Harzen zugesetzt werden, um deren Eigenschaften (z. B. Viskosit\u00e4t) zu ver\u00e4ndern, ohne ihre chemische Reaktion zu ver\u00e4ndern. Die Zugabe von Verdickungsmitteln zum Harz f\u00fchrt folglich zu einer Volumenvergr\u00f6\u00dferung der Masse und damit zu einer Verringerung des Harzanteils in der Masse.
