The properties of the resin are transferred to the gelcoat, giving rise to a product with high surface hardness even at high temperatures. It is mainly used in the aeronautical and naval sectors, where ultralight high-tech and resistant products are required. This type of gelcoat is also used for the construction of molds subject to strong stresses (hot molding in an autoclave).
