They differ from compacted bleeders for their high intrinsic ability to follow practically all shapes (drapeability), given by an extraordinary softness to the touch. Their great property of permeability to solvent vapors allows them to be used with the main resin systems, in vacuum and autoclave processes. Since they are not treated for detachment, they must be kept separate from the laminate by a release film.
