PREPREG IN-OUT AUTOCLAVE
The processing method in an autoclave, is one of the most complicated of the sector but, at the same time, it ensures the highest precision and accuracy in the cutting of carbon fiber fabrics. This system involves the use of pre-impregnated material (prepreg), which correspond to fibers impregnated with a pre-catalysed resin which acts optimally at certain temperatures. The use of the prepreg provides a greater structural homogeneity to the composite, the fibers are arranged within the mold, following the closure of the mold it is placed in an autoclave, where specific temperature and pressure programs, give origin to the finished article. The vacuum created in the mold together with the pressure exerted from the autoclave, ensure a machining process with optimal results. This procedure can also be carried out without the aid of the autoclave, at lower temperatures, however, giving good results both from the mechanical aesthetic point of view.
