Honeycombs
The alveolar structural cores, or also called honeycomb cores, are usually used as an internal structure in the construction of composite products where maximum containment of the final weight is a factor of fundamental importance. They are particularly suitable for sandwich constructions in different sectors such as nautical, wind energy, aerospace, automotive, for the production of equipment and tools for leisure time and in many other fields. This type of core is composed of a deformable structure with a low specific weight, high compressive strength and drapability directly proportional to the thickness. A core of this type can be glued between two pre-made laminates, or in exceptional cases it can also be positioned consecutively to the laminate.
