PVC
PVC is a closed cell structural foam core, in the form of rigid foam, having a high strength/weight ratio. The foam is made of cross-linked PVC with cells and its surface can be flat, perforated or engraved to guarantee the best flow of resins in the infusion processes. Its structure allows to obtain a minimum absorption of resin guaranteeing a net reduction of the final weight of the laminate, however increasing its rigidity and therefore its mechanical characteristics. The compatibility of PVC with most of the resins on the market also makes it adaptable to a vast range of molding processes (infusion, lamination, mechanical pressing). Used as the core of high-performance sandwich structures, it is able to guarantee high durability and excellent chemical as well as mechanical resistance.
