The molding technique to injection with resin transfer, in recent years, is evolving and it is increasingly used for the realization of fiberadvanced composite materials. The process involves the use of two mold halves (male and female) that will be jointed after insertion of a dry fibers preform ; the second step involves the low pressure resin injection into the mold through the holes, in an accurate manner, in order to impregnate homogeneously fabric / fiber. The RTM LIGHT ® technology or Vacuum Assisted Resin Injection (VARI), differs from the traditional for the aid of vacuum pumps. The arisen void of air inside the mold facilitates the injection of resin impregnation by improving the homogeneity and ensuring a higher transmission rate of the catalyzed resin into the fibers. Both processes allow the realization of products with a constant thickness, having good mechanical capacity, a low cost, and reduced production times.
