WRAPPING
The roll wrapping or wrapping technology, allows the creation of cylindrical and conical products through the winding of pre-impregnated reinforcement fabrics. This method involves the use of a rigid male mold which takes the name of the mandrel. The various layers of the reinforcement fibers are well compacted in the mold during the step of the lay-up thanks to a press (rolling table) that has the task of eliminating any air bubbles present on the surface. During this stage, the plan can be heated in order to promote adhesion. The various layers are applied with care according to the requirements for the realization of the finished product, after deciding the processing parameters such as the basis weight of the fiber or the resin percentage. Among the advantages of the wrapping there are reduced costs, a greater degree of mechanical properties of the finished product, due to constantly controlled environment of machining and the easy customization of the coatings.
