Safety systems

Personal
Protective Equipment (PPE) are introduced as products designed
to safeguard the person who’s wearing or otherwise carrying them,
against health and safety hazards; furthermore they must, by law, show
the CE mark which indicates compliance with the essential health and
safety requirements provided by EC directives. One of the biggest
problems is to establish when a PPE has to be replaced. Some equipments
have an expiration date, others are disposable, others require a
constant wear-control check, by the worker, in order to replace it if
it’s no longer suitable. For example: a respiratory system must be
replaced when the operator will notice a particular difficulty in
breathing; instead, glasses will need to be replaced when the operator
detects a no-longer sharpness of the images.
